still here

I think it is safe to say that having 2 kids has finally caught up to me. It seems like each day just wizzes by in a blur! Any tips from you seasoned moms out there would be greatly appreciated!

But now onto to more exciting things. I've been rummaging through all my goods in preparation for the big sale and I have even more stuff than I realized.
Let me tell you guys, this is going to be good.

In an effort to lure all you local readers there, I thought I'd give you a little idea of what to expect in terms of items and pricing. There are quite a few people participating, and if you have something you'd like to sell, bring it along and park it on the lawn. The more the merrier I say!

Here is just a sampling of what is in store:

New designer throw pillows priced form $20-$65

Rugs priced from $35-$350

Newly upholstered wing chairs priced from $250-$450

Lots of vintage chairs and dressers that are in need of a coat of paint

Loads of home accessories, vintage and new

Designer fabric remnants and bolts from $5-$35

Be there early because last year all the good stuff went fast!

  1. Welcome back! This looks like a great sale event! Unfortunately, I don't live near the Salt Lake City area or else I will be the first in line to check out the goodies.

    Have a wonderful week ahead!

  5. I wish I lived close too - I'd be on top of it! A lot changes going from 1-2 kids but you'll get through it beautifully...I wish I'd tried to do LESS, rather than trying to master it all, during that demanding time when mine were so little - I think I'd have been happier! I heard a long time ago - if Mom is happy, everybody is happy, so make sure you do what works well for you and the rest will fall in line. I hope that is helpful advice! :)

  6. Wish I lived close. Sounds like you have some great things. The transition from 1 to 2 was so challenging for me! Now that my youngest is 1 1/2 it is so much easier. They love to play together, it's pretty easy to line their naps up at the same time, etc. So know that it will get easier, enjoy the meantime and (as much as you can) just let things go. Just because you can't clean/cook like you used to right now doesn't mean it will be that way forever. I can now see how having 2 kids was really instrumental in making me realize that I need help and I can't do it all! It's a good thing to figure out. Practically speaking, I use the evening to get things laid out for the next day. It really helps to have all the "ducks in a row" ahead of time. You'll do great!

  8. Wish I could make it to your yard sale :)! LOVE a good one! I, too am a mom of two (3 years and under) and work FULL TIME. My husband is away this week on business and I guess my only advice is make your bed in the morning so that you have a nice, crisp bed to crawl into at night, pick out the clothes the night b/f for school (not sure how old your little ones are), take a deep breathe and fix yourself a cup of tea in the middle of the day. Oh, and I've been cooking meals in advance. Hope that helps!

  9. Hi you cute Mommy of two, I can't wait to introduce our new little ones. I think I am going to bring by some vintage furniture that is collecting in my garage. I would love to find a rug for my living room and once you are taking new clients please let me know I still need help with some finishing touches!

hope all is well and hope to see you soon,
    Kristin

  11. I would love to come and shop and bring a bunch of stuff to sell. I was the former owner of Emily Waltmans' home (I saw posted on your blog) small world. I recently built a house and bought a bunch of stuff that I thought would work well in this home. Turns out it doesn't so I am left with lots of stuff that needs a new home. I'm excited, I will post this event on my blog and spread the word.
