A while back I fell in love with a sofa on craigslist. It was a crewel sofa in perfect condition. It looked like it came straight from the pages of an anthropologie catalog and it had a great color palette. But I made a mistake, I waited, I thought. And then the price went down, to $125. But still, I waited. And then I called and then it was gone. Given away. I hope the lucky family who received this beauty loves it to death. 

My heart is still sad that this sofa doesn't belong to me. Lesson learned, the early bird gets the best stuff.

Only $50 and it has the most amazing patina on the wood. I felt like I was stealing at that price.

I just took on a new E-decorating client in Chicago (hi Lisa) and in honor of her I thought we'd share a craigslist find from her neck of the woods. 

I had to share this table because I just bought the EXACT SAME ONE about a month ago. I haven't decide what color to paint mine yet since it is the original wood finish but I love the lines on it.

I love the simple modern lines on this vintage Thomasville dresser. Ever since this gorgeous vignette from Vanessa of Turqouise I have been itching for a piece with like this. 

I think maybe I'd paint it periwinkle or a slate blue color.

As a new feature on my blog I am going to start posting craigslist finds from around the country. Today we are starting in miami. This chair is so not what you classify as palm beach style, but my grandmother had one almost exactly like this in her basement when I was a child so I have a soft spot for red leather and nailhead. I still remember how it smelled!
