dramatic details

I was working on this bedroom all the way back in January. 

We went with a dramatic steely grey color, Benjamin Moore Iron Mountain. 

The three things that make the room are the grey version of this bench from Target, 

this upgraded chair, and those fabulous knobs we got on clearance at Anthropologie.

I got quite a few inquiries about the fabric that was used on this chair. 

It is quite stunning. The good news is, that although this looks like a very 

expensive and beautiful Clarence House fabric, Flowering Quince 

( pictured below in a bedroom from Domino)

 it is actually an inexpensive Braemore fabric that is now available through Calico Corners. 

It is a lovely scale for pillows or drapes. Or of course, a chair.

I'm not sure which I love more, these cherry blossoms or the real thing. 

This chair came back from getting upholstered the other week and once again, my 

amazing upholstery guy Brian did his magic. If you have a piece of furniture that needs
