The Lavender Nursery

I just got back from a week at the beach and it was heaven. Our beach house didn't have internet and my phone broke half way through the trip so I was pretty much off the grid. It was sort of nice to be removed from the usual upkeep and e-mails. I'll be paying for this the next few days as I catch up on things but it was worth it to have some rest.

Right before I left for my trip I got a CD of images from my awesome photographer Sara Bateman from our recent photo shoots. It was like Christmas Morning!

I couldn't wait any longer to share this gorgeous nursery.

Every single time I go to work on this home, I don't want to leave.

I just love how calm and peaceful this space feels.

nursery sneak peek

I spent all day yesterday with my photographer Sara Bateman and some gorgeous flowers photographing a few recent projects. One of the rooms we shot was a lavender nursery that I posted about here and finished up just before I had my own little baby Elliott (poor boy his room still isn't done).

A lavender nursery with loads of style

I've had nursery brain the last few months, and not just because I'm having a baby.

You see one of my favorite clients has a darling little girl named Madeline who needed a big girl room. Lucky me, I still get to satisfy my need to design a girl's room through her and we are doing the loveliest lavender nursery. We have had so much fun working on this project and the details are all coming together in the next few weeks. I might dare to say this is one of my favorite rooms I have ever designed.

I'm not generally a purple loving girl, but the soft shades of lavender and lilac we used in this room have me completely captivated. The inspiration board for our room is pictured above, but scroll below for more of what inspired this space in the first place:
