I just got back from a week at the beach and it was heaven. Our beach house didn't have internet and my phone broke half way through the trip so I was pretty much off the grid. It was sort of nice to be removed from the usual upkeep and e-mails. I'll be paying for this the next few days as I catch up on things but it was worth it to have some rest.
Right before I left for my trip I got a CD of images from my awesome photographer Sara Bateman from our recent photo shoots. It was like Christmas Morning!
I couldn't wait any longer to share this gorgeous nursery.

Every single time I go to work on this home, I don't want to leave.
I just love how calm and peaceful this space feels.
Because I know you will ask, here are a few of the sources:
Chair: Custom, Schumacher fabric
Mirror: Pier One
Bird/Butterfly Pillow: Thomas Paul
Purple Dress Print: Lauren Maurer
Bookshelf: Ikea
I have another room from this home to share later this week so check back soon!

Simply gorgeous, Caitlin. Fabulous job! I am coveting that beautiful mirror. :)

ReplyDeleteIt's so soft and pretty - the lighting in the photos is perfect. That window seat is so dreamy...
ReplyDeleteWow that nursery is just perfection...almost makes me want to have another baby! Too pretty....and yet I like it is sophisticated too. You must be nice and relaxed, sounds like a lot of fun and sometimes having to be disconnected can be a good thing!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh Caitlin, this is adorable. When I have another baby I will have to have you do the nursery.
ReplyDeleteCaitlin this is such a serene and lovely nursery. Love it!

ReplyDeleteThat little lamb (or is it a sheep?) is so incredibly precious. My heart seriously awed when I saw it. Great job!
ReplyDeleteOMG. This is seriously amazing. I love that it isn't "baby-ish" and it could be an adult's room too!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right - it is so calming! Beautiful job!
ReplyDeleteSimply stunning! Love this room and was peeking at your other work--you have great style. I'm your latest follower:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous room. I LOVE that mirror!!!
ReplyDeleteWow ... so chic! What a lucky little girl to grow up in that glam, yet simple, room. The lavender and beige color scheme is soft, yet classic in a modern way.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, but I'm confused. It's the only nursery I think I've ever seen with no toys, no changing pad, no...well, most of the stuff kids eventually need. It's essentially a very beautiful sitting room with a crib in it.
ReplyDeleteDear previous commenter. . .
ReplyDeleteThis home belongs to my friend and I've been in the room. It is beautiful as you stated. The four lower baskets in the shelving unit house lots of age appropriate toys and books. I don't think a baby's room requires a piece of furniture dedicated to changing diapers to call it a nursery. . . do you? It is a poor use of resources if you ask me.
It has a nice walk-in closet with toys and blankets and baby clothing as well.
What I love about the room is that it can grow with the little girl. The chair and window seat will work in a big girl's room one day. So will the beautiful dresser. I think it was very smartly designed to function for years to come. I know I'd much rather invest in long term pieces and design than a changing pad.
Completely breathtaking. I love a nursery like this that isn't too baby-ish, but classic and soothing. Nice work, as always!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous Caitlin. Very soothing space. I like that it's smart and sophisticated and doesn't scream nursery. Fantastic job.
