catching up

I'll be posting a full recap of all my adventures at Alt Summit later this week but I'll just tell you now, it was AWESOME!

I spent the weekend trying to catch up before heading to down to market in Las Vegas. I have a special guest on this trip to market, my husband Dan. The sweetheart actually asked to join me because he is that supportive and actually interested in furniture and my business.

I'm at the airport right now waiting to board my flight to head down to Las Vegas for furniture market. Needless to say I'm excited.

faux bamboo dresser delight!

I don't think I ever met a piece of faux bamboo furniture I didn't like. 

I had a white faux bamboo dresser when we lived in NY and

 I sold it when we moved to a nice girl from Brooklyn. 

I hope she is taking good care of it for me. 

I've missed my dresser ever since and a few months ago,

 I decided it would be my quest to get another one. 

And so my ongoing relationship with ebay began. I would bid, I would wait, and then lose. 

I was just about to throw in the towel on any hope of a good deal, 

when I walked in to the thrift store and saw this staring back at me:

Okay, so maybe she needs a little love, but her potential is what really excites me. I still haven't decided what color to paint her, and I'm even considering leaving her natural since the wood is in good condition.
