Think of sconces as jewelry for your room. A good light fixture can make such a statement. 

The lovely tole sconces pictured above are going in to a living room I'm working on. 

They'll be keeping a mirror company right over the fireplace. I love them so.

If I had $400 laying around and burning a hole in my pocket {maybe someday} I might be so inclined to buy these lovely lamps from the ladies of one of my favorite design blogs, Good Bones Great Pieces. 

I just discovered they had an etsy shop and I'm hoping it will be updated soon with more pretty things.

In my opinion, proper lighting can transform a space and I think lamps are one of the best investments you can make in a space. Lamps add a design element, lighting,  can be easily moved, switched, transported, or made over if you change your look. 

I've been lusting after these beauties from pier one and now they are on sale. I am so tempted.
