a few things

Those people over at Kate Spade have done it again with their genius marketing.
I want one of everything. And that wallpaper? Don't even get me started on my obsession!

Decorating with tape, a little tape goes a long way

You may remember my little project with tape a while back. My girl Jenny also did a wonderful project with tape in her entry. And Christina did wonders to her magnet board with a little ribbon, but tape could be used too.

Well, I was searching the Kate Spade site when I came across this project by artist Rebecca Ward and it totally blew me away. I guess we're not the only ones that have discovered the wonders of tape. Oh the possibilities.

gift idea # 15 a year to remember

Since I have Kate on the brain I thought it only apt that today's gift selection be something of hers. I love these planners. They're artistic, whimsical, affordable and stylish. I don't leave home without mine. What a great gift for your obsessively organized best friend or your friend who needs a little help getting her act together.

Kate Spade Christmas

I'm in charge of planning my church Christmas party for 200 people. In a past life I was an event planner so big groups don't intimidate me, but I knew I wanted to do something really fabulous, but on a budget. Enter my brilliant idea.

What if I threw a Kate Spade inspired Christmas party? I'll be honest probably 95% of my congregation has never heard of Kate Spade but they would still think it looked cute, right?

I've been collecting and planning and designing for weeks now whenever I could catch a moment here or there and the big event is Saturday night. I'll be sure to take pictures, but for now I thought I would leave you with some of my inspiration for this event.

Now to decide what to wear. hmmm?

A visit with Kate

Of course I had to stop by the 5th avenue Kate Spade store. I was hoping to to see the crazy striped floor that everyone has blogged about, but Iw as surprised to find they had already revamped their look.

Nonetheless I got to touch and see and feel all their BEAUTIFUL new clothes. I was also smitten with this sweet gallery wall framing the doorway. Love the idea of busying up the doorway with lots of varying frames.

Thank you Kate, let's do it again soon!

*excuse the horrible pictures, they were from my blackberry

pretty plates

If I wasn't trying to save my money, I would buy these beautiful Kate Spade plates from One Kings Lane. If you are not already a member and want an invite, leave a comment and I'll get you on the list.

The lounge

This inspiration board is for a room I've been working on. It is all starting to come together and I am so excited to see the finished product. The client is basically converting a very large bedroom into a den/lounge area, but the catch is it needs to accommodate overnight guests, hence the daybed with trundle.

My inspiration was Holly Golightly meets Kate Spade.

without fail

Those creative minds over at Kate Spade never cease to amaze. I always love going behind the curtain to see what they have in store. This project reminded me so much of my father-in-law's amazing collection of vintage political buttons {which we hope to one day inherit}. His button collection deserves a post all of it's own, which I promise will come soon.
