spots to shop- Zsoche

As I mentioned earlier this week, I spent last week on vacation in Newport Beach. I've been vacationing here for years with my family so I know all the spots and all the restaurants I love to hit up, but I did encounter a few surprises on this visit.

One of them was The House of Zscoche. I was smitten. This store is fun and funky and elegant all at the same time. The owner, Michael is charming and friendly and used to be an art dealer which gives the store a certain je nai sais quoi. They carry a great assortment of furnishings, gifts, clothing and home accessories that will just make you want to kick back and move right in. The store is actually located on charming Balboa Island.

Lucky for all of you, they have a website {although the store alone would be worth the trip}.

Happy chic home

Maybe it's that I just got a box of goodies this week for a room I'm working on and that they have the best customer service, or maybe it's that I love his style, or maybe it's that I just scored some desk accessories at target that are totally happy chic, but I cannot get enough of Jonathan Adler these days.

I love love love his 10 commandments.

Found

I happen to think these ceramic birds from Found are darling. I love them even more because I have an identical pair sitting on my bookshelf. Every time I look at them they make me happy.

Found is an awesome upcycled furniture store in San Francisco. They have some wonderful vintage finds and these girls share my love for bringing new life to old pieces. Next time I go to San Fran, I will go to their shop and look at all the pretty things, until then, I look at their blog.

Halsea's digs

I've long been a fan on Halsea, a chic california company known for their hip luggage and accessories. Next time I head to Newport beach, a visit to their store is at the top of my list. I love the bright and bold textiles that Halsea is famous for and their store is just an extension of their cool palm beach meets california laid back style. Their boutique/corporate offices were actually designed by Krista Ewart {a Ruthie Sommer's protege} whose home has been featured in domino, AT, and HGTV.
