big sale at Serena & Lily

I was so excited to get an e-mail this morning announcing Serena & Lily's year end sale.

I have coveted their market sling for a long time and when I found out I was pregnant again I knew it would automatically be something on my wish list for the new baby.

Well you can imagine my excitement to discover the market sling is on sale for $38.20 (Originally $120.00). I snatched one up quickly as a Christmas present to myself.

There are a lot of great items included in the sale so
head on over to Serena & Lily to check out all the goods.

Happy Shopping!

It's a Boy!

We recently found out we are having another boy. Although I had fantasies about doing a little girl's nursery, I'm really excited to have a little buddy for Winston. Having another boy makes the whole process of preparing for the baby much much simpler. Since I already have a room in place for Winston, I'll be making a few simple changes to personalize it for the new baby and be focusing on a big boy room for Winston. My inspiration board for the nursery changes is pictured above.I already have the crib, the rug, the curtains, some vintage suitcases, and a gorgeous vintage dresser painted the perfect shade of blue so most of the changes will be coming through accessories and art.

Stay tuned for lot's of fun ideas and inspiration for Children's rooms coming up.

a modern nursery and advice for mothers

The image above is an inspiration board for a little boy's room I've been designing. I've been working on quite a few nurseries lately and many of them are for first time moms. Of course I have lots of advice, but in honor of Mother's Day, I would love to hear yours. It  is time to spill your secrets. What is a tip or trick you would tell these girls about becoming a mother?

Norah's Nursery

One of my new friends and clients Caroline created the most adorable nursery for her daughter Norah, who is now almost one.

I love all the little details Caroline put in to this room and the fresh combination of colors. You can read more about all the details here

What a lucky little girl!
