but today I wanted to share one of my favorite recent discoveries.

This awesome Tristan pedestal table from World Market is only $79.99 (it reminds me a lot of this more expensive one) and a great size for an accent table yet still enough surface area to actually use it for display. I'm buying one of these for my soon to be remodeled basement.

We all know and love the Jacqui collection from bungalow 5. It seems like these pieces have been popping up everywhere these days and in a rainbow of colors. I've been loving this piece for quite some time so I was really excited when I spotted this wave table at JC Penney a couple of weeks ago. It is a close second don't you think? 

These tables also give a similar look. 

And of course, just a little eye candy for y'all featuring Jacqui items.

I LOVE just about everything from Oly studio. My bank account however does not. 

I've long been drooling over the gorgeous Owen dining table from Oly. 

I think those big fat legs are the best thing since sliced bread. 

So I was delighted when I spotted the Calmont dining table from my old frient, Pier One.

 Okay okay, so these legs went on a little diet but you get the idea. Take it in black or give it your own twist with a coat of paint. You can bet this table may be making an appearance in one of my rooms sometime soon. 

Oh the possibilities.

In my parent's home they have a beautiful glass table with steel sawhorse legs. The home is a very rustic craftsman style with a lot of natural elements and this dining table has always been the singular modern element in the home. Someday I'll have to post pictures. 

Anyway...When I saw these saw horse legs I was instantly reminded of that dining table. And when I saw the price I just died. Can you imagine all the wonderful ways you could top these? 

Since I have a little one I think I would go with a hardwood in chalkboard paint like the one pictured below from ohdeedoh. 

In a city near you-Chicago

I just took on a new E-decorating client in Chicago (hi Lisa) and in honor of her I thought we'd share a craigslist find from her neck of the woods. 

I had to share this table because I just bought the EXACT SAME ONE about a month ago. I haven't decide what color to paint mine yet since it is the original wood finish but I love the lines on it.

is it or isn't it?

I got an inbox full of emails asking about this parsons style console. Although this piece is similar to the West Elm parsons table this piece is actually the Malm occasional table from ikea and I had Hana paint it to fit the decor and the budget. The price on the ikea console can't be beat and I actually like how the legs are solid panels instead of four separate legs. 

I actually have one of these in storage that I've had for ages and lost love for it but work  the piece in this project has totally revived my affections. I'm going to paint mine navy blue and add nailhead trim around the edges. Of course pictures will be shared when the project is complete. 

DIY

I am always on the hunt for a good DIY project (there are about six pieces of furniture in my garage waiting for a makeover) and these little side tables from Sunset Magazine are one of the most creative ideas I have come across for a while. One of my best friends had gorgeous tables like this in her home when we were growing up. Her mother had flawless taste and their tables were a beautiful antique version that housed small collectibles and pretty things.
