Have you seen this amazing apartment yet? I have been obsessively going through

the pictures for the last week! I am in love with the citrus colors and little touches.

I'm doing a room right now with chartreuse and orange and

I loved seeing those colors at play in these photos.

And don't even get me started on that painting. I want it!

Beautiful Harvard Yale Home for sale

I recently helped stage a gorgeous home and get it ready to sell. This house was already beautiful the second I stepped in the door but we just worked a bit on the finishing touches.
I rarely find homes that are done in a way that I would not want to change a thing but this house is so beautiful, it just might fit the criteria. You can go here to tour the full home.

I was so excited to get an e-mail this morning announcing Serena & Lily's year end sale.

I have coveted their market sling for a long time and when I found out I was pregnant again I knew it would automatically be something on my wish list for the new baby.

Well you can imagine my excitement to discover the market sling is on sale for $38.20 (Originally $120.00). I snatched one up quickly as a Christmas present to myself.

My kitchen: Before and After Part 2

If you caught the first installment of my kitchen redo then you know what went in to the whole transformation. A lot of the decisions that drove this concept were based on what would be effective for resale value for our house and what could be done simply. If I had gutted the kitchen and gone from scratch I probably would have gone a different direction but overall I am so happy with the result of this transformation and it is amazing how the soft clean palette really opens up the space.

The cafe curtains are done out of a Windsor Smith fabric, Pelagos. I love this fabric so much it was a real struggle to decide which room in the house I should used it in. It will also be going on the dining nook windows as roman shades. The faux bois dining chairs are vintage and were purchased at a local consignment store. I was lucky enough to score a set of 8 so someday when we graduate to a bigger house I have a full set. I love them and they were a bargain steal.

I have plans to reupholster them but I can't commit to a fabric yet.

I picked up a handful of these darling rosemary trees to give as holiday gifts to some of my clients. Maybe you can blame Ina, but I have a hard time turning away from a sprig of rosemary. Not only are these pretty too look at, but they are practical and useful too.

The best post I've read in a long time!

I think I sighed out loud today when I read this wonderful post by Lauren over at Pure Style Home. Dealing with budgets on projects can be one of the trickiest parts of a designer's job and I think Lauren took a really frank approach to explaining the whole approach in her post.

I also loved how she posted this chart indicating the difference between a bare bones budget and a high end budget. This can be a great resource if you are trying to figure out what to budget for a room and how much to plan for on certain items.

Yes we all love to get a good deal and quite a few bloggers and designers will pride themselves on being able to source a look for less, but there is always something to be said about investing in quality.

Jordan Willows Part II

As I mentioned a few weeks back, the last few months I was working on a group of 3 model homes for Fieldstone Homes. Here is the next home. this home is slightly more on the modern end and decorated primarily in a palette greys, blacks, and white. This might be my favorite of the 3 homes.
