And in case you forgot what it looked like before:

Here is what it looks like now:

The cafe curtains are done out of a Windsor Smith fabric, Pelagos. I love this fabric so much it was a real struggle to decide which room in the house I should used it in. It will also be going on the dining nook windows as roman shades. The faux bois dining chairs are vintage and were purchased at a local consignment store. I was lucky enough to score a set of 8 so someday when we graduate to a bigger house I have a full set. I love them and they were a bargain steal.
I have plans to reupholster them but I can't commit to a fabric yet.

I love the paint colors that you chose with the curtains. Great job!

ReplyDeleteWOW! Your kitchen is STUNNING. Simply stunning. Love every little detail. One of the things I struggle with is where to put my Kitchenaide mixer ... do you have one? Does it live on the counter or elsewhere? Wow, this redo is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI WANT those chairs! So jealous.
ReplyDeleteIt looks fantastic, Caitlin, but I am really dying over those chairs! What a score!!
ReplyDeleteOh my! Just absolutely gorgeous! What a dream kitchen, no matter how much you compromised. Lovely job.
ReplyDeleteTotally love it. I want to eat at that beautiful TABLE! What a beauty. I also love the fieldstone home post. Nice work Caitlin :) When I get around to figuring out what sizes of photos I want to hang in my office, will you help me arrange them? Molly's walls also need some TLC. We haven't hung anything in there yet.
ReplyDeleteStunning redo! Thanks for sharing. BTW, I like the chairs as is. They look great with the fretwork fabric and really add a modern hollywood glam vibe. M.

It looks wonderful and it's such a dramatic change considering that you didn't invest a huge amount...Can I ask a question? Are five people comfortable sitting around that table? I've got a family of five and I would like to switch to a round table, but I wasn't sure it was a comfortable fit. Approximately what diameter is the table?
ReplyDeleteEverything looks amazing! You've done an awesome job. I keep scrolling up and down, up and down comparing the before and after!
ReplyDeleteLove this room. It feels so calming and serene and classic!
ReplyDeleteKitchen looks great! I'm planning on having my cabinets repainted as well. Can you tell me what type of paint was used? I had a painter out and he said he uses Cabinet Coat. Are you familiar with this and/or have any recommendations? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhat a well done job. It flows so well and love the curtains, table and even the bowl on your table. Love your blog too!

ReplyDeletei love the grey colour you used on the kitchen walls. i am wanting to do something similar in my kitchen--but am having trouble finding the "right" gray. which one did you use and do you have any general tips about choosing gray?
ReplyDeletewhere did you find those chairs?!? they are amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteyou kitchen is a dream and so wonderful!
ReplyDeleteGreat work, One area that brick and mortar retailers are always emphasizing is returns. They want you to believe that returning things like kitchen stools that you've bought online will be difficult and not worth your time, and in some cases, they may be right.
ReplyDeleteWhat a transformation! We have been in the process of updating our kitchen and I definitely think I need these Carrara Marble counters. Love it all!
ReplyDeleteAmazing, you must be 100% thrilled!! Janell
