I also loved how she posted this chart indicating the difference between a bare bones budget and a high end budget. This can be a great resource if you are trying to figure out what to budget for a room and how much to plan for on certain items.

Yes we all love to get a good deal and quite a few bloggers and designers will pride themselves on being able to source a look for less, but there is always something to be said about investing in quality.

You're right! That post was well written! I've said practically the same thing to dozens of clients! Now I can just send them to her post!
ReplyDeleteI bookmarked this post too. It was just what I was thinking about that day spelled out perfectly.
ReplyDeleteloved this post as well!
ReplyDeletedarn $$$, I have Med-High taste with a Low budget. I figured that out today while looking for fabric to reupholster my dining room chairs with. Everything I loved was beaucoup bucks.
ReplyDeleteI love that! As an Interior Designer myself I get a little tired of the "look for less", sometimes I just want to see the look. High Low in between.
ReplyDeleteI do not want to define a space by its price tag.
I thought this was a great post too. It was really helpful and it really gives you a good idea of how much it would cost to furnish a room. It would be nice to be able to go and buy all of your things at one time and make a room look cohesive. I would have so much fun!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you. The post was so informative, and great to have on hand! P.S. love seeing the model homes you have been doing!
ReplyDeleteI agree! Great post! And, so accurate!
