Elizabeth Kimberly Designs

Do you ever come across a room and have a sudden urge to know everything you can about the designer and every other space they've ever laid their hands on? Well, I've decide to share one of my secret sources of inspiration. Elizabeth Wixom of Elizabeth Kimberly Designs is a family friend of mine and I have been admiring her fresh style and flawless taste for years. She and her business partner Kimberly Rasmussen are quite the duo and you will love the classic but fresh feel of their beautiful spaces. I'm going to let these images speak for themselves. It's like Christmas morning when they update their portfolio.

  14. Hey Gurl,

I've been following your blog for a month and I'm finally feeling confident enough in myself to just put myself out their and reach out to other people who share the same passions in life as I do!

So now that I'm a single, confident woman again I'm trying my luck with a new apartment! I've incorporated many of your tips and tricks into my cozy one bedroom and I wanted to share them with you!

As you can see I followed your advice and framed the beautiful childhood art from a family member. (Being that there are no children in my family it was hard to come across!) Anyway,it's a word in progress - let me know if you have any suggestions!

Also, even though you are a high priced designer I thought you might like to hear some tips of my own!

The first is an innovative and economical approach to a closet. I'm not sure if you can tell from the photo, but what i've done is hung a curtain rod on two wire hangers on my bedroom wall (so thrifty and resourceful, huh?!).

The second image is more spiritual than aesthetically-oriented. Like you, I'm not always a confident woman and on some days I need some words of inspiration before I leave the house in the morning. I tried posting the words in different places around my apartment (and even framed them like you suggested!), but I would always forget to look at them. Then I realized, why not just write it on teh back of the door, where I'll be sure to see it on my way out! As you know, decorating is a constant struggle of trial and error!

Anyway, let me know what you think!Iknow you're a busy lady but it would be an honor to hear your feedback!

  17. This design is wicked! You certainly know how to keep a reader entertained.
Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well,
almost...HaHa!) Fantastic job. I really enjoyed what you had to say,
and more than that, how you presented it. Too
    cool!
