This space is really the heart of the home.
The gorgeous white kitchen cabinetry by Benjamin Blackwelder is a show stopper for sure.
We did a custom bench seat at the bar to give the kids a comfy spot to pile on.
The moorish lantern tile is unbelievable in person.

Misti,
ReplyDeleteNothing came through. Are you sure you sent it to the right e-mail?
I just came across your blog last week; love it so much. I'm wondering if you can tell me about the kitchen counters in this kitchen. I'm assuming marble, but I've heard there are great alternatives to marble that look almost identical. So, just wondering if this is a look-alike or the real thing. If you're able to share, please do! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteCaitlin, I also sent you an email with questions yesterday morning. Did you get my email?
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Stephanie
Yes I copy and pasted the e-mail address you gave me on here. I just sent it again so maybe it will work this time. Sorry to bother you again.

Keep up the incredible work that you do!!
Hi again Caitlin,
ReplyDeleteI've emailed you twice re: this kitchen. I don't think you're getting it so I'm going to just post my questions here.
I came across your lovely Spring Lane kitchen and started following your blog as a result. It's great!
I notice you have specific details under all the Spring Lane rooms except for the kitchen. I was wondering if you could tell me the paint colors you used for the perimeter cabinetry, island and the walls? Also, is the hardware chrome or polished nickel? It's hard to tell from the photos.
For our build I find myself confused over kitchen faucets. When we rebuilt after Hurricane Katrina, I fell in love with the Kohler Vinnata and never looked back. The pull-down design and locking spray and the looks made it an easy choice at the time. But now that we're starting from complete scratch I want something different. I see gorgeous bridge and two-handled faucets with separate sprayers in so many kitchens. Do you find them to be functional as well as beautiful? Can one go from a one handle pull-down to a two-handled faucet with a side spray and be happy? They're just so gorgeous!
Anyway, thank you for your time. Your work is lovely. I look forward to reading more of your blog.
