Back to blogging, maybe

Well the last couple of months have been quite a trip. The real reason I haven't been blogging is that we're expecting baby number 2. Pregnancy for me means a dizzy world, constant nausea, lots of what accompanies nausea, and pretty much zero energy. Not a good combination with what is usually a busy life with a toddler, work, and blogging. I'm about 19 weeks along and still feeling yucky. Let's all hope that is soon to pass.

I think it is safe to say I am finally ready to get back to this blog. Even though I've been sick it doesn't mean my little head isn't full of ideas and inspiration to share to get excited for some new material and ideas for the blog.

Thanks especially to all of you who sent me e-mails during my hiatus making sure I was okay.

You are too sweet.

The picture above was a taken a few months after Winston was born by the amazing Jonathan Canlas. I can't wait to add a fourth little pair our feet to our family.

  1. I started following your blog just before your hiatus and am glad to see you are back. I am 36+ weeks with number two and started blogging just before I learned I was pregnant with #2. I, too, do not do well with early pregnancy....getting hyperemesis with both. So, I can sympathize with how you are feeling.....hang in there and take care of yourself! At least the light at the end of the tunnel should come for you soon...I hope!

  2. I totally understand your absence . . . both of my pregnancies were filled with that sickening nausea. It was worse with #2 for some reason - I ended up taking the nausea medication they give to chemo patients (Zofran). It was a miracle drug for me. It allowed me to function and take care of my 3-year-old. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy. I look forward to hearing more from you once you feel better. Take care!

Welcome back, perhaps you can do some baby-posts? Rooms, clothes etc to get you in the blogging mood, as I am sure these are things you are thinking of :)

  10. Congrats on baby #2!! Hope you start to feel better soon-- it simply seems unfair to have nausea after the 12 week mark! Happy to have you back in the blogging world!

  16. I was hoping that a pregnancy was the reason you were being a slacker! Ha! I hope you've met Zofran. Zofran is a nauseated girls' friend. I was still nauseated even while on it, but I didn't spend all day worshiping the porcelain God while on it.

And I had two 6 month olds when I got pregnant for the second time. And one of their heads went totally flat on the back from the huge chunks of time I had to leave them in their bouncy chairs bc of exhaustion. But they are perfect now - all of them, so cut yourself some slack. I feel confident that you are doing the very best you can do!

Congratulations on the 4th set of feet for your next family portrait!
