Remember that little teaser with the yellow and green pillows I posted a little while ago? It came from the home of one of my clients, Shannon. Shannon and I have been working together over the last few months to freshen up the look of her home and add some flair and color. She is an e-decorating client, so all of this has been accomplished through lots of e-mails and calls and photos and swatches.
It is so fun for me to see these projects come together from afar. I think sometimes I appreciate e-clients even more because I'm not running all around buying everything for their home, I just send them the design, give my direction, and in return I get pretty pictures. Not a bad trade.
Here is what Shannon's home looked like before:
She has a large family/great room where the kitchen, dining, and living area are all joined. She wanted to bring more color and life to the space to break up the sea of beige and brown. All the main pieces except for the dining table were going to stay for most of our work included what we were going to add to the room or change out.
Here is what the space looks like now:
It is so sunny and cheerful I thought it was perfect to share for a spring day.
I'll be doing a post about these specific fabrics later this week.
If you are jealous of Shannon's curtains, hop on over to Little Green Notebook for a great tutorial on how to make your own.

ReplyDeleteHi Caitlin! This living room looks fantastic! I have a huge favor to ask...I've been hunting for a smaller scale sectional that will wear well, and I really like the one that is in Shannon's living room. Any chance you know or can find out the source on that one? I'd be so so grateful! -Stefanie
