found it!

Last summer I fell in love with a beautiful crewel medallion rug at WS Home. I filed it away because I was dying to use it for a client. Weeks came and went and the right client never came along.

Until finally she did, and we were going to put the lovely rug in this room:

Only by the time we got around to ordering, suddenly the rug was gone. Just like that, without even saying goodbye. We moved on and found another rug, but I never forgot my first love.

Well tonight, I was giddy with excitement when I stumbled across this rug

I think it is a dead ringer.

See, your mom was right, good things come to those who wait.

  1. Ironic, I bought that rug from William Sonoma Home on sale for a 5X8 for only 99$$... Its still wrapped in the package from 4 months ago. If you dont end up using yours or it doens't work out let me know and I will send you mine. But your replacement rug is beautiful also. What type of room are you using it for?

  6. Love the rug! Yes, patience is a virtue. By the way, I linked to your blog today - specifically, the post you did about changing a sunburst clock into a mirror. I found one at the flea market today and am going to attempt the same thing. Wish me luck. And thanks so much for the inspiration!
