A few weeks back my pal Susan sent me these images (seen on Frolic, I think originally from Lonny) wondering if we could recreate those darling little bows. We were both smitten with the simplicity and sweetness. I love when simple items have an added detail and the trim on these blinds is a perfect example of that.
So we set to work. First, our shopping list:
Bamboo blinds ($11.99 at Lowe's)
White Grosgrain Ribbon ($2.75 @ Joann's)
Glue Gun
Scissors

we set up all our materials ready to go

when we unrolled our blinds we noticed there was a little excess on the front panel

So we trimmed it up, being careful not to let the blinds unravel

And secured it with a strip of hot glue

Then we began to carefull glue down the ribbon in 5 inch sections
Make sure you smooth things out as you go

and be mindful that the ribbon is straight

You can run the ribbon the entire length of the blind,
or just as far as you plan to unroll it

they turned out very cute! good job!!
