adventures in ribbon hunting

Oh the things I will do to get a deal.

Once upon a time there was a ribbon store named K trimming in Manhattan. They were the place where vintage ribbon went to retire. Their prices were fair, and their selection was unparalleled. They lived happily in Soho along Broadway and sold ribbons to lots of New Yorkers looking to get their creative fix.  Then along came the mean developers who forced K trimming out of their desirable location in to a yucky warehouse in Brooklyn where all their ribbon was stuffed into boxes and left to die in the dark.

then one day, the fearless Caitlin, along with her friend Camila decided to rescue some of these beautiful ribbons from the damp dark dungeons of the warehouse. It was a long journey to find the beautiful ribbons and she could only take with her as many as she could carry. But determined to rescue the ribbons from their terrible fate, she loaded up with as many rolls as she could carry.

You can read the rest of the story here, or if you are really brave, head to K trimming yourself.

It may just be one of the sketchiest places I have ever been. Those etsy headband makers would think they had died and gone to heaven.
