I was out and about last week at my favorite antique spot when I spotted this lovely mirror.
Only $100 for this beautiful piece. I think she should be mine, or if not she should belong one of my clients. Would you kill me if I put a coat of paint on her?
And yes, those are my little feet reflected in the mirror.

Gorgeous! What color do you plan on painting it?
ReplyDeletesweet mirror. cute boots!
ReplyDeleteTrue love (and a great price!). I'm curious about color too... Chinese red? Charcoal Gray?
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! What a statement piece.
ReplyDeleteYou NEED this mirror. Great price, too. I vote for French Gray paint (of course!).
ReplyDeleteit's beautiful, and as I was looking at it, I thought I'd paint it! Post after photos, please!!
ReplyDeletelove the mirror! and we have the same boots, of course... kindred spirits!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...I love that mirror just like it is! With a coat of paint it would still be beautiful just probably more casual. Love it and the bargain price. Wish I lived closer to that store.
ReplyDeleteWas that the picture you took when we were out and about?
ReplyDeleteOh I really love the federalist style of that faded black paint. I say if its original to the piece, keep it.
ReplyDeletei have a trumeau mirror very similar to that above my mantel. all painted one color, a nice, soft gray. i'll email you a pic . . .
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the mirror! I live in the Salt Lake area, and need some good antique shops to stalk. Any suggestions? Love your beautiful blog!
