Just so you know, I'm not hoarding a 5 year old Picasso. I just happen to have a client that has adorable children who love art. We thought we'd put those talents to good use to lighten up our formal family room with their self portraits. The project cost about $25 for paint and canvases and it just makes that room! I just couldn't LOVE them more!
To answer a few other questions:
Couches-from a local big box furniture store. But similar ones can be purchased on overstock
Bookcases-Craigslist find that we painted and added some thrift store accessories to.
Coffee table-Thrift store buy that we painted a steely blue.
Pillows-custom
Stay tuned-I just might have some pictures from a certain holiday party in store.
