Old is new-vintage chairs revamped

It is amazing how a fresh new fabric can bring life to an old piece of furniture.

This was my first upholstery project a couple of years ago. I found the chair on the street, fluffed up the cushions with some new foam and a fresh fabric and voila! Instant chair love.

This chair is long gone but I loved the anthropologie vibe it had.

This is where my love for vintage chairs began.

  1. This is amazing! How would one go about an upholstery project ? its a little daunting having never done one! maybe one day you could give us a tutorial? I have seen attempts before, but none look this professional!

  5. Hi Caitlin,
Bravo on the beautiful re-upholstery project. I have three old chairs I've recently bought with intentions of upholstering but I'm terrified I'm going to ruin them. I'd love to know your background with upholstery. Did you just trial and error or do you have professional training? Inquiring minds are desperate to know. Thank you.
