inexpensive x-stool

I got quite a few e-mails enquiring about the stools pictured in decorating your first apartment

These were a great deal and simple DIY.  We started by purchasing these stools from Sears. This is the best deal I have found on any sort of x-stool and I have searched far and wide.

I loved the shape but the cheetah had to go.  We decided to go with this inexpensive trellis fabric that I posted about a while back. All we needed was about a yard and half of fabric, a staple gun and voila!
Be sure to keep me posted if you try this at home.

  2. Caitlin, I'm so glad you posted this source. I've been searching forever for a good, budget x-bench and this fits the bill. Perfect for recovering - thanks!

  3. Thanks for this Caitlin! Just wanted to chime in that Walmart has a very very similar one, albeit with a black faux leather top...could be left as is {which is what I did for a pair of them in my husbands "man room"} or had a little DIY done to it like you have done here. Either way love the price!

  16. Got them and leaving them as is until I find a fabric I love since the cheetah
Fabric does go with my decor.

Excellent information and facts. Only real difficulty I was basically receiving was viewing the pics. No idea exactly why.
